As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 439 people, 179 households, and 124 families residing in the village. The population density was 1,342.6 people per square mile (513.6/km²). There were 190 housing units at an average density of 581.1 per square mile (222.3/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 98.41% White, 0.23% African American, 0.68% Native American, and 0.68% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.23% of the population.
There were 179 households out of which 31.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.7% were married couples living together, 3.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.7% were non-families. 26.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 17.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.45 and the average family size was 3.01.
